On Sunday, 2 December 1990, the Wayne County Historical Society honored all the veterans of World War I. As part of the program, surviving veterans and the families of deceased veterans were asked to submit to the Society a biography of the veteran and his activities during the war.
The biographies published here have all been previously published in the Wayne County Historian.
Since the posting of these, the Wayne County Historical Society has compiled a book honoring these great men plus many more soldiers who fought from Wayne County. It is available for $20 at the Wayne County Historian’s Office in the Courthouse on the Square or call 1-931-722-5016 for total of cost details (book, shipping/handling).
