SHULL, Max, was born 2 July 1891 in Wayne County, TN. He died 11 Feb 1957 at the VA Hospital in Nashville, TN. He is buried at Philadelphia Church Cemetery, Wayne Co., TN. He was the son of Andy J. SHULL, b. 5 Mar 1856, d. 3 Jan 1926, br. Grimes-Shull Cem. Wayne Co., TN, and Ada COLE, b. 28 April 1864, d. 19 Apr 1956. His siblings were Maggie SHULL LASHLEE, b. July 1887; Lucille SHULL REEVES, b. July 1892; Craig SHULL, b. 27 April 1901, d. 29 May 1941; Dan SHULL, b. 17 June 1894, d. 13 Dec 1911; Helmon SHULL, b. 24 Mar 1897, d. 28 Aug 1919; Raymond SHULL, 1903-1971, and Jack SHULL, b. Nov 1888.

Max married Mary Edith HARDIN of Hardin Co.,TN on 2 Feb 1941. They had one son, Max Hardin SHULL.

While in the service Max served in the TN Wagoner Infantry. After being discharged from the service, Max worked on the construction of Highway 64 from Waynesboro to the Hardin County line. Then he was associated with the Shull Truck Line of Waynesboro. Later he farmed on Hardin Creek where he lived until his death.
