DAVIS, John Lewis, was born 1893, Beech Creek Community, Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of Joseph Allen and Mitalda Jane RAY DAVIS. He enlisted in the Army in 1917. After basic training he was sent directly to France into the war zone. He was with a POW Escort Co.. John Lewis was discharged in 1919 and returned to the Beech Creek Community where he made is home. He married Pearl Lena WARREN and they have three children: Claud DAVIS, Floyd DAVIS and Mrs. Irene DAVIS CALDWELL.
