Dodd, Henry Clayton

DODD, Henry Clayton, was born about 1893 at Timbo, Arkansas and was killed 28 Aug 1934, Wayne Co., TN when a car hit the horse he was riding. He was the son of Bert B. DODD; his mother’s name is not known. He married Mary E. MORGAN and they had one son. They are all buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Wayne Co., TN.

He enlisted under serial number 3496757 as a Pvt. in Co. L, 306th Infantry. He was discharged at Fort Oglethorpe, GA on the 20th May 1919. He is described as being 5’11” tall, dark complexion, brown hair, and blue eyes. He served with the American Expeditionary Forces from Aug. 1918 until 8 May 1919. He was awarded the Victory Medal on 18 April 1921 by the Army Recruiting Station, Birmingham, AL.
