Louisa J Hill in 1856, he was
brother-in-law to Robert Hill of Company E.
Umstead died on 3/20/1888 and is buried in the New Hope
Cemetery
in Carroll Co, TN with a military marker.
He was the son of Abraham and Beady Parish Umstead and
brother
to Squire

10/26/63 and re-enlisted in Co K, 2nd Tennessee Mounted
Infantry. Umstead married Catherine
Adams
in 1868. He applied for an invalid
pension in 1890. Umstead died
on 10/04/17 and is buried in Walling Cemetery, Valley View, Cooke
Co,
TX. He was the son of Abraham and
Beady
Parish
Umstead and brother to Daniel Umstead, also of Co D. MR

and was buried in the National Cemetery at Mound City, IL in grave
