Researching Curlins in Obion, Madison, Shelby, Wilson, and Henry Counties.
Given names: John, Hugh, Lemuel Prince, Zacheus H., Terrell, and Seth.
All were sons of Thomas Curlin and Sophia Curlin originally out of North
Carolina. Family first appeared in Tennessee about 1830. Several
subsequently moved to Arkansas, Texas, and Kentucky. Particularly
interested in Jesse J.J. Curlin, Son of John mentioned earlier. Related
families that traveled with them or intermarried are: Perkins, Cooper,
Ferebee. We have information on these families in North Carolina and
would be glad to share.

My great grandmother is Bertha Barnett. She was born 1884/85 in Tenn.
I have found her marriage certificate in Madison Cty 1/22/1902
married to Sam Stegall. I also found a Bertha Barnett in Carroll
Cty in the 1900 census who I believe is the same Bertha Barnett.
I found her living with a William P. Jacobs in district 1,
enumeration district 122, sheet 3, line 42. I have also written
that I have found it on microfilm#1248561. I however have not
been able to positively identify this as the same person. I do
not have a photocopy of this census. Bertha is suppose to have
siblings of James and Pearl. I was looking for any help on this.

JOHNSON names associated with this family are Solomon, Benjamin,

I am looking for info on the Park Lacy Family listed in the 1860
census of Madison Co. Did they have a child born after the 1860
census was taken?
I have lots of clues but no facts on my great grandfather, Park
Lacy, born 1860 in Tn. Died 1922 Tal.Co.Ms. He talked about his
older brother and his father having river boats which were all
burned by Union Troops during the Civil War.

I am looking for African American descendants of the Jordan or
Bond families. William Jordan/Jurden (b. 1853) m. Sapphire/
Sophia Bond in 1870 & had the following children: Ephriam Bond
(born to Sophia), Frank, Adla, Gennie, Dellia, & Emilia Jordan.
William had two brothers: Alec (b. 1854) m. Gennie Bond & had
daughters Mary & Nancy.
Other brother James (b. 1846) m. Lyddia Price (b.1857) and had 1
son James and one son Jack Price.
May also have been related to Sharlot Jurden (b. 1830) who had
the following children: Ganet (male), Plesh (male) Cate (f),
Sophie (f) , Asinioh (m) and Haninah (m, not sure of relation).
The known BONDs are: Sophia/Sapphire (b.1855), Gennie (b. 1850),
Alice (b. 1868) and Sam (b. 1864). I believe they were siblings
but have only confirmed that Gennie & Sapphire/Sophia were sibs.
The Bonds were born in TN. The Jordan/Jurden's were born in MS
and moved to TN by 1870. I have marriage certificate for WM &
Sapphire/Sophia dated May 1870 from Madison Co.
I have information only on the desendants of Wm & Sapphire/Sophia
Jordan. I would like any information

JOYNER
I am Cecilia Joyner Baker. My father, Fleetwood Boyd Joyner, was born in
Buena Vista,Carroll Co. in 1900. I would like to find out more about the Joyner
family. His mother is buried in Oak or Shady Grove Cemetery. Her name was Louellen Boyd.
She married Isaac Newton Joyner, my grandfather. She died young of meningitis and he
had just moved to Houlka, MS (1906) and was going to move the rest of the family
when he learned that she had died. He remarried in Houlka to Mary Holland. I would like
to know if anyone knows whether Isaac Newton Joyner had other siblings and if they
have any surviving relatives. Louellen had three children, Pauline, Kate, and Fleetwood (my
father) and they are all deceased now. Their children live mainly in Mississippi and
other southern states. My nephew William Fleetwood Joyner lives in Phoenix, AR and is also very
interested in Genealogy.

1777 Maryland, Rebecca BELTON born 1791 VA (probably to a
Maryland family)-they had the following children: John B. (1815),
Hiram (1817),Stephen (1818) Elizabeth (182-born near Nashville), Lewis

Tenn in 1805 and are related to the Glenns of Madison Co.
Tenn. These Glenns are interreated to the Ramseys, Ragsdales,

to Ar. Mo. Tx. Ill and Glennvile Kern Co. Calif. These Glenns
came from North and South Carolina and were in Lancaster Co.

Crockett is the nephew of David Crockett and His father was John Crockett
brother of David Crockett. This John Crockett married Sarah Thomas in
1814. Thomas Crockett married Eliza Warren in 1832. I would like to hear

Seeking information on WILLIAM TOMS who moved his young family to Madison
County sometime after 1820 from Albemarle County, Virginia. He operated a
wafmill and turpentine factory within the county. While residing in
Madison county, three sons, Addison Grandison, and Moletus were born to

William H. STEPHENS, b.1816 in MD, married at 'Holly Hill' near
Jackson to Barbara MILLER, b.1820 in Knoxville. Their children,
all born at 'Holly Hill' or 'Willowbanks', were: Mary L. b.1840;
William b.1843 married Sally STEPHENSON in 1876; Albert b.1846
married to Matilda Jarvis WICKS in 1870; Charles b.1848; Harry
b.1859; Richard b.1862; Kate and Leonidas, twins, b.1866. The
family lived in the Jackson area until they moved to CA. in the
late 1870's.
I am also very interested in any info. about or references to
'Holly Hill' and 'Willowbanks'.
