LOCATION –
On the northeastern side of Powell Road, off Old State Route 34 near West View School.  The exact location cannot be determined, however the high elevation and a previous unconfirmed note seem to indicate the burial ground to most likely be on Washington County tax parcel 080-039.45 fairly near Powell Road.  The general area has been walked and inspected and several neighbors were asked about the burial ground.  A prior owner as well as a longtime resident cannot recall ever seeing any fence or markers.
GPS LOCATION: +36° 13.620, -82° 35.500 (approximate)

DEEDS –
Deed Book 17, Page 468 (1822) – Thomas Gillespie to John Stout.
Deed Book 520, Page 464 (1977) – Carrie Amelia Anderson to Henry & Laura Andrews for her share of the Anderson heirs.  This deed describes the entire farm, which was in 8 tracts.  There were several other deeds representing various shares, all conveyed to Henry & Laura Andrews.  None of these deeds mentions a burial ground.  Based upon an old sketch, it is believed that the burial ground would fall into what was designated as tract #1, which very closely matches the metes and bounds from DB17/468 noted above.
Deed Book 588, Page 650 (1983) – Henry & Laura Andrews to James & Sandra Powell.  No mention of a burial ground.
