Mt. View School was located at the intersection of Leesburg Rd. and Don Carson Rd. across Leesburg Rd. from the old Mountain View Methodist Church Cemetery, Telford, Tennessee. It has been torn down and replaced with new homes.

The occasion was a May Day celebration. The year is about 1906. Folks in the picture are (left to right) Alta Rankin, Mary DeVault, Bertha D. Moore, Viola Scott, Nola Lovegrove, Bertha Scott, Effie Sellers and (my mother) Mary Lovegrove. The man in the background facing the camera was a Mr. Leab and his sister is peeking around the corner. These girls were not in the same class but then — it was a one room school.
