DEEDS – Specific deeds will not be listed here, however, the Shipley land holdings ranged from the northwest corner of Jonesborough proper, out to Stuart’s Hill. The holdings were on both sides of the present State Route 81 running northwest from Jonesborough towards Fairview. This area is now substantially developed.
BURIALS –Elizabeth (Bettie) and William Campbell are probably the Campbells mentioned. The Shipley is unknown, however, a marker for Arthur Shipley (died 1877), son of Elbert A & Jennie Shipley is found at Maple Lawn. Maple Lawn was not established for another 10 to 12 years. It is possible, but unproven, that Albert was moved to Maple Lawn.
