According to the late Mary Hardin McCown: The John Hoss cemetery which was located in the 1400 block of Fairview Avenue, Johnson City, Tennessee has completely disappeared.
John Hoss and his wife, as well as their daughter Mary Ann, who married Henry Johnson, founder of Johnson City, were buried there. Mary Ann and Henry Johnson were moved to Oak Hill Cemetery in 1910. John Hoss’s wife was Sarah Adams Williams, daughter of Edmund Williams and wife Lucretia Adams.
