This burial ground is no longer extant. Remains were moved to both Snyder’s Memorial Gardens and to Tri Cities Memory Gardens in 2001.
LOCATION – Near the intersection of Spratlin Park Drive and Business Way, just east of SR75/Bobby Hicks Hwy in Gray, TN. It is still defined by a separate tax parcel, although burial restrictions were resolved by a Washington County Court case detailed in Minutes Book YYY, Page 126 and Minutes Book YYY, Page 422. The small parcel is about 43’ X 38’ and is known as Washington County tax parcel is 012-029.01

Deed Book 413, Page 376 (1968) – Lucy Ford Carr to Holston Land Company. The calls in this deed went around the burial ground.
Deed Book 687, Page 528 (1990) – Holston Land to Johnson City Chemical.
Roll 246, Image 1277 (2001) Clerk & Master to Johnson City Chemical – This deed conveyed the vacated parcel after the final judgment in above noted court proceedings.
BURIALS – The remains of Allen Lee Barnes and his daughter, Eva Barnes Ford were removed to Tri Cities and placed in the family plot at that location. The remains of others were removed to Snyder’s as unidentified. It was family lore that “an unknown Hankel” may have been one of the unidentified. Review of other available information has not confirmed any additional identification.
