Note: Some of the headstones in this cemetery were ceramic stones made by the Decker’s Keystone Pottery.
From MMB: Decker, Sr., came down from Pennsylvania in a one-horse wagon, hunting the right kind of clay to do pottery work. He bought his farm in the 6th district, now on Hwy 107.
This information was taken from Charles M. Bennett’s Washington County Tombstone Inscriptions with permission from Lorraine Bennett Rae and at that time – 1977, the old pottery was still standing.
