Jeremiah was the son of John “Jack” Miller, Jr. and Mary Killey, daughter of Kinchen Killey and Elizabeth Hammer.
Jeremiah Miller married Sarah Keplinger 13 Sep 1849 by Worley Embree, Washington County, Tennessee.
Jeremiah was a trustee of the Cherokee Seminary in the 1860’s.
