From Jonesborough to Erwin turn off Hwy. 81/107 on to Bumpus Cove Rd., turn right at the second road, Furnace Hill Rd. At the fork, turn left and the cemetery is located in front of 123 Furnace Rd. Embreeville, TN. The trees and undergrowth has recently been cut but it in large piles. This cemetery has many unmarked graves and it was impossible to determine the number.

Embree Family Graveyard – 1 mi. E. Embreeville, or 10 mi, S. Jonesboro, Tenn., near Bumpus Cove. Established by Elijah Embree in 1839 and now abandoned. There are 23 inscriptions. There are only a few graves of the Embree family in this plot. John Hampton, CO. K. KY CAV is a Civil War veteran buried here. Isaac Poore, soldier buried here. Among families burying here are Embree, Henley, White, Wilson, Blevins, Treadway. Mr. Allie E. Swingle, g-g-g-grandson of Eiljah Embree gave this information.

Obituary: Addison Treadway was born in Sullivan County, Tenn, October 26, 1812, and died at his residence near Embreeville, on Sunday night, December 8, 1895, being a little over 83 years of age. He joined the Methodist Church when comparatively young. He was buried in the Embreeville Cemetery.
