Good afternoon,
My name is Benita Harding and I’m trying to assist my father in finding ancestry information on his paternal side. The Last name is the same as mine, Harding or possibly misspelled as Hardin. We’re looking for the cemetery where my Great Great Grandfather, Boss Harding or Hardin was possibly laid to rest. My Father was able to find Boss Harding on the 1891 voter registry in either Obion or Henry County, TN but after that we have not been able to find any further records. I tried using the Find A Grave website under both spellings of Harding/Hardin but there were no results. Do you have any suggestions for locating African American death records from 1891-1895? This is a guesstimate of as we don’t know his date of death or the location either. Do you know of any archives I can search? Any help you are able to provide is greatly appreciated. P.S. We do know his son, Guy Harding and the wife of Guy Harding, Mary Diggs Harding were both buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery located in Obion County TN.
