I am researching the line of Cisley
O'Briant Tipton. He would go by the name of Bryant instead of Cisley.
He was born abt 1828 and married Louisa Patrick and lived in Clay
County Tn. I have information from Cisley to present, but I cannot find
information backwards. I have verbal information that would link him to
Jonathan Tipton from England. I do have information that Cisley and
Louisa are buried in Westmoreland Tennessee, but I haven't fould out

my GGG Grandfthr, Allen White came to
Haywood county before 1840. He was in that census and appears in land
deals in old deed books as far back as Feb 6, 1837 when he bought 51
acres from Alexander Henry. He lived with his daughter Elleanor, who
had married a William Rhodes and appears in the 1870 census as 83 years
old, living with that family. He came from Bertie county, N.C. and had
9 children by his first wife Elizabeth, including my GG Grandfather,
Peter Doss White, who fought in the 47th TN Inf in the civil war.. He
