Hiram Maberry was the father of a daughter named Ollie.
Ollie married NB Sullivan who was the son of James & Sarah
Sullivan. Ollie is not listed in the 1880 Clay County Census but
her parents and older siblings are. NB Sullivan is listed as 12
yrs old in that same census. I am interested in getting
information on the Maberry Family.

I am looking for the burial place of my ggg
grandmother, Rachel KIRK. She was married to George M. Kirk and is
on the Jackson Co., TN 1850's census. It lists her as 37 years old
and living with George and their children: Marion, John, Pheraby,
Margaret, Dicy, George and Stephen (twins), Atline, Rachel and a
Andrew Wilson (age 30). Her maiden name was either BROWN or
WILSON. I believe she had one more child in 1850, Dennis Carrol
and then died sometime before 1860. George shows up in the 1860
Texas Co., MO census with a new wife, Jane A. MOORE, and most of
the children. The twins stayed behind with a TINSLEY family, as
shown on the 1860 Jackson Co. Census. Since the Kirk family lived
near Celina, I thought I would give Clay Co. a look and I did find
these cemeteries: Kirk-Brown Cemetery, Kirk-Chapman Cemetery and
Kirk-Morgan Cemetery. If anyone has info on my Kirk family or on
any of the cemeteries (including directions), please let me know.
I am also looking for George Sr.'s parents and siblings.

I am researching the possibility of my great-great
grandmother's Native American heritage. She was born Nancy E.
MULLENS on September 6, 1840 in Tennessee. Her parents were David
MULLENS & Anna VANN. Nancy married John W. KERR ca 1860, place
unknown. All my life, I have been told that Nancy was of Cherokee
Indian descent. After conferring with several other family
members, I have found that they too have heard similar stories.
From other research, I know that the VANN surname originated in
Scotland, therefore, the Native American heritage must have come
from a female ancestor. Any help at all in this regard would be
truly appreciated.

My family legend as told to me by my grandmother Nell
Gill and grandfather Henry Gill describes a greatgrandmonther of
both maternal and paternal sides of my heritage. They were of the
Tennessee Arkansas Cherokee nations. my grandmother grew up in the
mountains near Gatlinburg Tennessee and my grandfather grew up in
northwestern Arkansas around Corning . my grandmother's maiden
name was Moore and my grandfather's name is Gill. He said his
father married a woman with the last name of Slatton.
