Celina, Clay County, TN area. They moved to Gibson County, IN. She

listing on the Bedford County website of an 1890 census of Union
Army Veterans living in Clay County in 1890(plus 2 other
counties)which includes "Howard R. WILSON, Private G 06 Kentucky
Calvary 1862 Spivey, Clay County" as well as several more Union
Army veterans living in Clay County in 1890. This "Howard R.
WILSON" may have been Haywood R. WILSON who lived in Spivey from
1872 until the 1920s, and whose first name often was misspelled,
such as "Hawood" in some lists and possibly as "Howard" on this
listing. Thank you.

I am searching for anyone who might be able to give me
information concerning Tenny Smith, mother of Joe Smith b.1886
d.1958, buried at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jackson Co, TN.
Joe had a half brother, Amos B. Smith, b.1898 d.1957. I have
nothing to go on, but believe she may have been a Pritchett before
marriage(?). I have a copy of a photo of her, taken from a
postcard with the Pritchett surname on the back along with Tinsley
Bottom as an address. I believe she may have been born around
1865, she died about 1909-10, Amos was about 10-11 years old when
she died. She is buried at the Flynn Cemetery in Jackson Co, no
marker. Joe lived in Clay Co, all his life to my knowledge and I'm
sure there are some relatives still there. Amos was my
grandfather, and I'm very interested in any information anyone
might send me about Tenny. Joe's children are: Jim,Arvill,Joe
Jr,Charlie,Roy,Roscoe,Gene,Fred L.,Evie,Mary,Dorthy,Marie,Eva
Nell. Amos' children are: Lucille,Charles Fred,Cecil,Shirley.

Can anyone tell me what happened to Sarah (BIRDWELL)
MURRAY, the wife of James MURRAY, after the 1900 Clay County,
Tennessee Census? That's the last time I ever saw of her...She had
three children back then and was listed as a "widow". James MURRAY
does not show up in that record. In fact, on the 1870 Monroe
County, Kentucky Census, James does not show then. Sarah is listed
as the head-of-household and a "farmeress" with a few children:
Barbara age 22; Elizabeth age 16; and possibly a grandchild,
Amanda age 2. If I can't find James MURRAY, I would like to know
what happened to Sarah. Some children had grown up, gotten
married. Did she move to live with one of them? I know of one son,
George W. MURRAY, who married Sarah A. COPASS, the daughter of
Thomas H. COPASS and Nancy J. GULLEY. This family moved after the
1910 Clay County, Tennessee Census, to Weaver, Williamson County,
Illinois, in Southern Illinois, near Herrin.
