The two fieldstone markers found are for Adam Lamons and Mary Elizabeth “Polly” Shepherd Lamons. It is unknown which markers are for whom. This information provided by Maude E. Walters and John F. Walters via Jeanette (Sherman) Walters. Death dates are not known.

Adam and Polly’s daughter, Mary Elizabeth (b.1856, d.1940) married John Walters (b.1836, d.?) on April 28, 1879 (recorded in Jonesboro).

1850 census: Subdivision 4, Washington, Tennessee Residing in house are Adam, Elizabeth, Amanda J 10, Rebecca E 8, Eleanor 6, Mary Shepherd 75, Rebecca Phillips 45

1860 census: District 4, Washington, Tennessee, United States Adam and Elizabeth could not read or write. People living in house are Adam, Elizabeth, Amanda J, Rebecca E, John and Mary.

1870 census: District 4, Washington, Tennessee, United States Adam, Mary, John and Mary living in house; Amanda living next door with daughter age 10; a Rebecca White living next door with two children.

1880 census: District 4, Washington, Tennessee, United States Resides in house: Adam, Mary, widowed daughter Rebecca E White, and her 4 kids; along with Margaret Murr a black lady 21, and her 2 kids
