1898. He was married to Brunette Farmer from Montgomery County,
TN. While serving in WWI he was shot in the face and lost the
lower part of his jaw. He died on Jan. 17, 1967.

May 12, 1902. He was the son of John Allen Nolen and Mattie Belle
Christian. He married Mary Lizzie Snoddy in 1921 in Stewart
County,
Tennessee. He served in Troop F, 11th U.S. Cavalry at Presido,
Monterrey, California. He died in Alton, ILL. on Feb 14, 1985 and
is buried in Alton, ILL.
