Mrs. Lucy Barnes Aged Resident, Dies Of Illness            

Mrs. Lucy Barnes, aged resident of the Irving College community and member of a well known Warren county family, died at her home Friday afternoon at 1:35 o’clock after an illness of several years. Mrs. Barnes was 90 years of age.  Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Hebron Church of Christ.  E.D. Martin officiated and burial was in the Hebron cemetery.  Mrs. Barnes, a native of Grundy county, was born November 1, 1860. Her parents were Jessie Nunley and Deida Hobbs Nunley and she was married to C.I.L. Barnes. He died about 15 years ago. Mrs. Barnes was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by six sons, J.L., Edd, Harris, Wallace, Wince and Marcus Barnes, all of Irving College; three daughters, Mrs. Lou Martin, and Mrs. Susie Kelly, McMinnville, and Mrs. Jeff Perry, Detroit, Mich. Also one sister, Mrs. A. B. Woodlee, of McMinnville. High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
