Flatwoods home of Dr. William Earl Boyce and Virgie Bromley Boyce

Dr. Boyce HomeDr. Boyce designed this house and had it built in 1926-27. Clint Maupin built the house. The side facing the camera was the front of the house. The downstairs right room was his waiting room. His office was upstairs on the far end/opposite end facing the barn (not shown). (Later the side shown here became the front of the house). Virgie aided in his work and always had sterilized needles for shots in a steel container on the back of her wood stove.
