My grandfather was Henry Milton Jackson, (September 10. 1910) the only child of Lonnie Jackson and Liza Cansdie Benson. Lonnie died in 1913-1916. His father was Thomas Henry Jackson July 5, 1853, the brother of Tom Jackson who supposely killed a man in Lauderdale County then fled to the islands. They (Tom and Thomas) supposely own a large amount of Lauderdale County at the time of Lonnie's death. When Tom fled and Thomas died, Liza could not pay the land taxes and lost the land. Does anyone know anything further on my grandfather's family. I am trying to do my family tree. Would also like to know if this family account is true. Thank you.

I am having extreme difficulty finding any information on a William Thomas Perry (aka: W T Perry) who lived in Woodville (Haywood County/LAU), Tennessee around 1865 to1905. I believe he was a prominent businessman, owned the "WT Perry Dry Goods Store" in Woodville. He married Alice Jane McAlpin (also spelled McColpin) on 12/27/1879, in Haywood Co., Tennessee. They had five children: Edward Gordon Perry (m. Melvina Vandelia Kirkpatrick on 12/28/1910, I believe they were married at "Scotlawn" {Revo Plantation} in Ripley, Lauderdale County, TN.,she was the daughter of John William Kirkpatrick and Virginia Howell Scott{daughter of Thomas Miller Scott Sr. of "Scotlawn"})., William McAlpin Perry, Hattie Perry, Lee Perry & Amy Perry. The family moved to El Paso, Texas around 1905. He died in El Paso on August 24, 1910. I have exhausted all possible avenues in an effort to find the names of his parents. William Thomas Perry's mother's maiden name might be Winfield and they may have come to Tennessee from around Ashville, North Carolina. I also believe he had seven sisters and no brothers.
