     Know all men by these presents that we Richard Linville Robert Smith Jacob Quinner and Daniel Martan are held and firmly bound unto Willie Blount Governor etc. and his successors in office in the sum of Five thousand dollars to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and each of our heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and da- ted this Sixth day of December A.D. 1814.

     The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Richard Linville the day of the date hereof has been duly and Constitutionally Elected Sheriff of the County of Campbell for the Two Succeeding Years. Now if the said Richard Linville shall well and truly Execute and due return make of all process and precepts to him directed and pay and satisfy all fees and sums of money by him Received or levied by virtue of any process into the proper office by which the same by the Tenor thereof ought to be paid or to the person or persons to whom the same may be due his her or their Executors Administrating Attournies or agents and in all other things well Truly, and faithfully Execute the said office of Sheriff durr- ing his Continuance therein then the above obligation to be void Otherwise to remain in full force and virtue etc.
