When Received: Nov. 24, 1837; Crime: Stabbing; From What County: Anderson; Age: 25; Occupation: Labourer; Sentence: 3 years; Where Born: Tennessee; When Discharged: Nov. 29, 1839; By What Authority: Pardoned by Gov. POLK, OURCE: Convict Records, 1831-1874, Volume 86, Record Group 25, Tennessee State Library and Archives, Prison Records, Volume 83-87, RG 25, Microfilm No. 32. Addison LEATH from Anderson County, Offence: Stabbing. Sentence: 3 years from Reception. Rec'd 24th Nov 1837. He is 25 years old, 6 feet high, Weighs 175 pounds, fair hair, greyish Eyes, fair Skin, Good Countenance. Has a scar on his fore finger of the Left hand one & a half inches long. Born & Bro't up in Anderson County, Tennessee Seven Miles South of Clinton on Clinch River 3 Miles from SCARRYBERRYS Mill. He has 7 Brothers and 5 Sisters. One sister Married To Larkin HACKWELL. His Relations all live in the Same County. His Father Willis LEATH lives in Anderson County Seven Miles South of Clinton. Was found guilty at the Circuit Court of Anderson County and Sentenced To three years Confinement in the Jail & Penitentiary house of the State of Tennessee. Addison LEATH was pardoned by Gov.
