This indenture,
made and entered into this day Feb 6, 1902 between Rebecca
C. Green, widow of Michael D. Green dec'd of Well Spring
Campbell County, TN party of the first part, and Elizabeth
Green or Berry wife of Andy Berry and her heirs of same
place of the second part. Witness that the said party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of
one dollar cash, and other valuable considerations in hand
paid by the said parties of the second part, the receipt
of which is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, sold, and
conveyed, and by these presents doth convey and confirm
unto the said parties of the second part, her heirs and
assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land, situated
in district #8 of Campbell County, TN and bound as follows:
Beginning on lot line "H" on the south side of
the dividing ridge on a post oak, then east a marked line
to a white oak, then a southeast course running with the
hill to a black oak at the Maynardsville Rd, thence southward
with said road to small cedar at the forks of the road,
then with the road leading to Judith Dikes to a stake in
J. H. Claiborne's line, to lot line "H", then
with lot line northward to beginning containing fifty acres
be the same more or less, with the appurtenances and hereitaments
thereto appertaining, except the house, trees, vines, etc.
and one acre of land around the house where the said Rebecca
Green now lives, so long as she may live, but at her death
the same to be the property of said Elizabeth Green and
heirs, to have and to hold the said premises to the said
parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, forever.
And the said parties of the first part for herself and her
heirs, convenant with said party of the second part, her
heirs and assigns, that she is lawfully seized in fee simple
of the premises herein conveyed and have full power, authority
and right to convey the same, and that the same is free
from any incombrances whatever, and that they will forever
warrant and defend the title there to against the lawful
claims of all persons whomsoever. IN WITNESS WHEREOF,
we have hereunto set my hand and seal the and year first
above written.

the purpose therein expressed.
