This is also known as Jim Talley Cemetery, evidently owned by James
Thomas Talley, who is buried here. The death certificate of Martha
Smith (Chapman) Lewis [has no stone] states she was buried at "Jim
Talley Cemetery".
Cemetery location: Talley Cemetery is located on Coon Branch Road, near
Alexandria, DeKalb, TN. From Highway 70, from either Smithville or
Alexandria, turn onto Old Liberty Road. From Old Liberty Road, turn
onto Upper Helton Road, then turn right onto Coon Branch Road, go at
least 2 miles and cemetery will be on the right.
Or from Watertown or Alexandria, take Goose Creek Road, go about 1
mile, turn left onto Coon Branch Road (first road), then go about 1.5
miles to cemetery on left. This is a very curvy road, and narrows when
you get onto Coon Branch Road.
