Martha “Patty” “Patsey” Roberts was born May 10, 1881 to David R and
Mary (Turner) Roberts, both parents buried here. She was most likely named for her grandmother
Martha Roberts. She married Baxter Robinson on December 14, 1902 in
Wilson Co, TN. They had at least 8 children. Patty
died on May 8, 1923 in District 1, Alexandria, DeKalb, TN. She was
buried on May 9, 1923. The cause of death was tuberculosis. The
informant was Baxter Robinson.
Baxter O. Robinson was born on November 13, 1877 (death certificate
says Oct. 13, 1876, but his WWI draft registration agrees with the
tombstone) to
James N Robinson and Martha Jane Alexander. He married Martha “Patty”
Roberts on December 14, 1902 in Wilson Co, TN. His death certificate
states that he was married when he died and the informant was his wife,
Lena [MNU] Robinson. This would be his second wife and married some
time after the 1940 census. He died March 26, 1957 in DeKalb Co., TN.
The cause of death was
rheumatic heart disease (duration 55 years) and coronary occlusion and
congestive heart failure. He was buried March 28, 1957.
