Kentucky Rites For Mr. Baker 

Funeral services for W.A. Baker, former resident of Viola Community, were conducted Thursday afternoon at Gamaliel, Ky., Church of Christ. W.D. McPherson, Church of Christ minister of Atlanta, Ga., officiated and burial was in the cemetery there. Mr. Baker, father of Mrs. Mayhew Peery, died at the home of another daughter, Mrs. McPherson, in Atlanta, Ga., Tuesday. He had been ill six months. Mr. Baker made his home with Mrs. Peery near Viola until he moved to Atlanta several months ago to spend the winter with his daughter there. He was a son of Calvin Baker and Anna Davis Baker and was born December 23, 1869 at Hermitage Springs Tenn.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cornela Baker, Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, and two sons, D.M. Baker, Mobil, Ala., and H. L. Baker, Washington, D.C. Also four grandchildren. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rockliff community — We extend our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family of William Baker, who died last week at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Douglas McPherson in Atlanta. The Bakers formerly lived in this community before going to Atlanta.
