  1. I am proud of the many Goodsons that served our nation including the REV WAR and at other times when needed. I served for over 32 years including one year in a combat zone although I was not in direct fire fights like some of our kin that was wounded. I am searching to see if there is a relationship between Vice Admiral William Goodson, John Goodson, Samuel Goodson, Colonel James King, my GGrPa Andrew Jackson Goodson, Lincoln Cty, NC, and Georgia 1837-1915. His father was George Washington Goodson, Born 1813 in Lincoln County, NC and believe his father was Matthew Goodson and Mother was Mary Patton. Is someone has already searched these names I would appreciate an email. Thanks!
