Additional Information

The property was once a part of Washington County, Tennessee and is still close to the county line. Several years ago, the church employed a crew to come in and “straighten up” the cemetery. They took up several grave markers and put them in more straight lines. At that time, many foot stones were taken up and used to mark the unmarked graves.

Since this is such a large cemetery, I’ve removed the “unknowns”; those unmarked graves and markers with no inscriptions. This transcription is in order, beginning at the lower edge of the old section, working toward the church. We transcribed the cemetery in two sections, separated by the road.   ~ Donna Briggs

Additional Burials contributed to the site:

By chance, is there a map of the cemetery?

I just checked and there is no map. The cemetery was divided into 2 major sections. Old part is inside the circle drive (between the roadway and the church). New part is on the outside of the drive.

Please let me know how to add someone to this map list

Do you plan to make a survey and list of the newer Section C? This is where my family has lots.

Would anyone know if there is a gentleman buried in this cemetery named Edward King? He died sometime in the 1720s. My genealogy says he is at this cemetery. Any help would be appreciated.
