Located beside 1820 Blairs Gap Road in Sullivan County.  There are nine funeral home markers that only bear the surname “Crawford.”  These may be there to hold plots for future use.  There were at least 53 graves marked with fieldstones.

His obituary was published in the Thursday, August 9, 1956 edition of the Kingsport Times. He is the son of William Thomas and Kitty Ryans Crawford.

    • I hope you see this. Your John “wiley” Murray and Sarah Murray were part of the large Murray/Crawford family in the Blairs Gap area of Sullivan county Tn. Wiley is buried in the cemetery at Solomons Temple church on Lone Star rd and I imagine Sarah is as well. My grandparents Allie Reece Murray Sr and Rhonda (Morgan) Murray used to talk about relatives, I believe App Murray was one, who had moved to Pennsylvania.

  8. Carolyn Mullins Lawson. I’m Robert Murray from Knoxville. My dad was Allie Reece Murray Jr. Aka Reece and my grandparents were Allie Reece sr and Rhonda (Morgan) Murray. My great grandfather was Roll or Roley, who is buried on Lone Star rd in the Mullins Cemetery with his first wife Emma Conkin. I’m thinking about driving up p today (March 30, 2021) to take a look at this cemetery and also to Jonesboro to theold Isaac Murray cemetery. I may have some info on Wiley and Sarah Murray in my family tree on Ancestry.com but I’ll have to look. If I find anything I’ll let you know though.
