When William Hertford Boyce was born in 1811 in North Carolina, his father, Hardy, was 61 and his mother, Nancy, was 46. He married Mary Ann Mayfield on September 25, 1834, in Maury, Tennessee. They had nine children in 13 years. He died on May 1, 1878, in Perry, Tennessee, at the age of 67, and was buried there.
These are my great-great-great grandparents. I am the great granddaughter of Lizzie Boyce Edwards, the granddaughter of Hattie Edwards Bryson, and daughter of Juanita Bryson Walker-Brown. It is so nice to see these photographs preserved for history and available to their descendants.

Peggy, one more thing. My records show that William Hertford Boyce was born in 1810, which would still make him 67 when he passed if May came before his 1878 birthday. I do not have an exact date of birth for him.
I can add one more generation for you. Parents of Hardy Boyce (born 13 Nov 1790), married Mary Hubbard and then Nancy Shalon (married 30 Oct 1801), were William Boyce (born May 1787 in Bertie Co, NC) and Judith Lamb. William had a first marriage that bore children Jesse, Penny (Penelope) and William. The marriage to Judith Lamb bore Hardy, Levi, Hezekiah, and Elizabeth.

Oh, I am so glad to find this. Can you tell how you determined the kids to which mother (wives of William Boyce)? I descend from Hardy and am needing more information of his marriages and children too. Thanks.
