She is the daughter of the late Samuel Winfred and Maude Ruth Conner Betty. She is also preceded in death by her husband Harlan Sanders, sister Jean Christian, brother Houston Betty, and grandson Dustin Stanley.

She is survived by her daughters Annette Tucker, Tammy Sanders, Kelly Stanley, and Stacey Capps, sister Ann Barnes along with 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
