David Lee Thomas, age 67, was born on August 1, 1958, in Ypsilanti to Denver and Penny Perakis Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Steve Thomas; and his sister, Charlotte Caron.

He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta McPherson Thomas; his daughters, Amanda Thomas and Mindy Buttrey; his son, Joshua Thomas; his sister, Maddona King; and his cherished grandchildren, Alex, Justin, Noah, Daphne, Violet, Zach, and Hannah.

David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather with a generous heart and deep compassion for others. He spent many years working in manufacturing as a team leader. During periods of downtime at the plant, he volunteered his time helping members of the disabled community.

He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. David also sponsored a child in Africa, reflecting his caring and giving nature. Even in death, he continued to help others through the gift of organ donation.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  

Visitation with the family will be 25 May 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Fairfield Baptist Church, 1863 Hwy 100 E, Centerville, TN 37033 with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 PM.
