Skelton, Mildred Baker
Mildred Earlene Baker Shelton, 88, of Linden, passed away Wednesday May 13, 2026 at Perry County Community Hospital. She was born in Hohenwald to the late Austin Baker and Nora Dabbs Baker. She was a Homemaker most of her life and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and working in her flowers. She especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband J.P. Shelton, a grandson Douglas Morrison and sisters Bernice, Ruth and Dorothy.
Survivors include her two daughters Sharon (Hayes) Morrison of Murfreesboro, and Tana (Randy Boyd) Gregory of Linden, grandchildren Phillip (Nancy) Morrison and Rachael (Brian) Woodson, great-grandchildren T.J., Alex, and Benji Morrison, Tyler, Owen and Jonas Woodson, her beloved cat Simba and a host of other family members and many friends.
Funeral service was held Friday, May 15, at Young Funeral Home in Linden with interment at Bethel Cemetery.
