Pinkerton, Homer “Toby”
Homer “Toby” Pinkerton, age 67, was born on May 17, 1958, in Hohenwald to Jess and Iva Rosson Pinkerton. He passed away on May 9, 2026, in Centerville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Alvitea Sunder, Juanita Milan, Christine Milan, and Deborah Gordon; and his brothers, Harlan, Charles, William Dennis, Willis Joe, and Billy Pinkerton.
He is survived by his son, Ethan Ray Pinkerton; his brother, Troy “Speedy” (Debbie) Pinkerton; special nephews, Derrick (Kelly) Pinkerton, Alan Pinkerton, Barry (Crystal) Pinkerton, and Kevin Hudson; his favorite niece, Tabby Pinkerton Bailey; special great-nieces, Gracie and Emily Pinkerton; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends whom he loved dearly.
A lifelong worker, Toby lived in Centerville and spent many years working at the local trailer plant, in logging, pulling grapevines, working tobacco, and finished his career clearing trees for TVA. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter who especially enjoyed bringing home venison and squirrel for the dinner table. Toby was known for his hardworking spirit, his love of the outdoors, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
Graveside Services will be held 10 May 2026 at 3:00 PM at Frazier Cemetery, Briggs Chapel Road, Nunnelly, TN.
