Lomax, Jimmie Cas Jr
Jimmie Cas Lomax, 84, of Hohenwald, Tennessee, passed away on April 23, 2026. He was born on March 6, 1942, in Hohenwald to the late Johnnie Cas Lomax and Lucille Spurgeon Lomax.
Jimmie worked as a logger for more than 40 years, retiring in 2017. He enjoyed farming, car racing, and showing horses. He was known as a hard worker and a Christian who loved his family and his church.
He was a member of the Grinders Creek Church of Christ, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and previously as a deacon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Lomax, and his sisters, Sue Anderson and Carolyn Bell.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Diane Mitchell Lomax; two sons, Mike (Liz) Lomax of Columbia and Jeff (Lucy) Lomax of Columbia; six grandchildren, Lauren Lomax Richie (Jamie), Michael “Lake” Lomax, Mamie Madison Lomax, Hamilton Bradley Lomax (Lindsey), Elinor Perry (Sawyer), and Will Oldham (Anna Clare); and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family was held on Sunday, April 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald, with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Steve Holloway and Josh White officiated. Burial followed at Lewis County Memorial Gardens.
