Mary Elizabeth Hitt was born on April. 17, 1967 in Dickson, TN to William Martin Pewitt and the late Mary June Owens Pewitt, and died on July 17, 2022 in Gadsden AL. at the age of 55.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her brother, William Marrion Pewitt.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, David Hitt, son, Joshua Givens, brothers, Joseph (Hannah) Pewitt, John Pewitt, and Mark Pewitt, and sister, Susan Pewitt, as well as many other relatives and friends. 

Visitation with the family will be 21 July 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be 22 July 2022 at 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Taylor Cemetery, Franklin, TN.
