Brenda Kay Harrington, of Centerville, Tennessee, departed this world on December 25, 2023, in Columbia, Tennessee, finally finding peace after a prolonged illness. Born on December 21, 1954, in Dickson, Tennessee, Brenda lived a life filled with love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family.
Brenda was the daughter of the late Jesse Rannic Myatt and Margaret Stevens Myatt.
She is also preceded in death by her sister Marjorie Jane Northcott.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 16 years, Larry Harrington, who tirelessly cared for her throughout her illness. Her son, Casey Bates. Daughter, Stacey Davis. Stepson, Derick Harrington. Stepdaughter, Christy Stanich. Siblings Janet Martin, Betty Banks, Julia Morgan, Sue Banks, Charles Myatt, Jerry Myatt, and Nancy Myatt. Grandchildren: Taylor Davis, Haley Davis, Austin Leviner, Montana Bates, Katie Harrington, and Tyler Harrington. Her best friend, Ann Capps, who was a constant source of support throughout her illness and shared many cherished moments with Brenda. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Brenda’s heart was also touched by her precious fur baby, Sadie, who brought joy and companionship into her life.
Known for her love of life, Brenda found joy in quilting and spending quality time with friends and family. Larry affectionately called her “Baby Doll,” a testament to the deep connection they shared. Brenda was a faithful member of the Five Points Church of Christ and attended when she was able.
She was a wonderful mother to her children. Brenda’s strength and determination were unparalleled. She played the roles of both mom and dad to her children growing up, ensuring that Casey and Stacey never went without. Her selflessness and sacrifice created a loving and nurturing home that helped them both be where they are today.
She is going to be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Funeral services to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with Bill McDonald and Mickey Mathis officiating. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the services. Brenda will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Centerville, Tennessee.
