James “Preston” England, age 88 of Lyles, Tennessee, passed away in Dickson, Tennessee on May 7, 2025. Preston was born to the late John “Jake” C. and Lucille Manley England in Pinewood, Tennessee on May 19, 1936.

In addition to his parents, Preston is preceded in death by his two brothers, Willard England and Rufus England.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Lori (Marty) Garrison, Eric (Donna) England, Marty (Jody) England, Chad England; grandchildren, Derek England, Miranda England, Dallas Garrison, Desi Garrison and Adrianna England; great grandchildren, Kaden England, Declan Carter, Ezra Garrison, Amos Garrison; brother William England; along with a host nieces and nephews.

Preston was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and after graduating high school joined the Navy.

Visitation with the family will be 9 May 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be 10 May 2025 at 11:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County with burial to follow at New Antioch Cemetery, Lyles, TN.
