OLD FASHIONED REMEDIES
- Boil pumpkin seeds and use the tea for stomach worms.
- Use blood of "bessie bugs" for the ear ache.
- Onions boiled in sulphur molasses makes a good laxative.
- Use mold off of cheese for open sores.
- Bake an onion and use juice for colic.
- Sugar mixed with a few drops of kerosene is good for coughs.
- A goose grease rub will help sore muscles.
- Wear an asafetida bag to ward off disease.
- Use a burnt sponge to get rid of a goiter.
- Rub turpentine and lard on a warm flannel cloth and put it on a child's chest for stopped up nose or croup.
- Use a homemade mustard plaster for pleurisy.
