It has bin better here than it has bin in seveal yers befor. We just have received a leter from North Carolina. Times are tolerbel thar. It has binn very sickley thar. Tha made good cropes thar. John A. sade tha coming next fall. Cropes are tolerbel. Good corn is one dollar, wheat is 50 cents. It was very dry this last sumer. John B. has moved to Cub Creek. James M. lives on the Rainey place. Sarah M. lives wher old Mr. Cannon lived. She was mared on 14th of June to Alexander Allen and I ant marred yet. Wood you have thout it Mother is gone to a quilting and Lucy Jane Montgomery, she is staying with. Yor father had a very lite spell of the fever but has got well. The docter sade that he wold not get up but he has. Thomis O. is sold out and is going over Sunday. Ther has several moved and talks of moving. I want you to com out. We have a hundred and fifty or two hundred dollars fore you if you will come after it and mabe I will go home with you. You sade thar were some of the prettest girls I ever saw. Times are looking up some litle cotton bring a good price. Goods are lo, every thang is lol. I beleeve I quit my scratching and go to the quilting. Davis I have just rased from a grate spell of sickness. I was given out for dead by doctors and friends. Though I now am well and harty. We got a letter from the old world as you have been told by David. Their will be a mighty moving next fall. The Davises and Reeds are coming. Thley sicklyer there than ever was known before. Woodly Thomis has been living neighbor to us for two years. He is living in the Granny Morgan house between me and my old place. His wif has been very sick. She is getting well. John B. has moved to Cub and his cattle will starve if he dont attend to them. When you write tell everything.
