Services  for  Robert Leon Tipton , 49, of Ashland City, will be at 1:30 Sunday at Pettus-Owen & Wood Funeral Home. The Rev. Wesley Smith, pastor of River Road Baptist Church, will officiate.   Burial will be Wells Cemetery, Dickson. Mr. Tipton died Friday at a local hospital of lung cancer. He was born Jan. 19, 1917 in McEwen.  He was a son of Mrs. Sallie Bruce Biggs and the late Walter Tipton.  Mr Tipton was married to the former Miss Mable Choate, a native of Nashville. He was employed as a  block Mason.  He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors, in addition to his wife and mother are his daughter Mollie of Ashland City; two half-sisters Mrs. Helen Cook and Mrs. Margaret Hodge, both of Nashville; a brother Willie Titpon , Memphis ; three half-brothers, Thomas Biggs, Ashland City; Glenn Biggs, Nashville; and Eugene Biggs, Illinois.
