LYONS, Lewis Clark (d.1949)
Aged 82, died at his home here on Mulberry St. Wednesday morning March 23, 1949 of a heart attack. He had been in poor health for three months suffering a previous attack last December. He was born in Indiana, but moved to Tennessee when quite young. He was employed by the NC & St. L railroad as ?(____)man for quite a number of years having been retired for several years. He was held in high respect by his large number of acquaintances. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Church of Christ with W.A. Bradfield conducting the service and burial followed in the Hutton Cemetery at White Bluff. Some 62 years ago was he married to Miss Emma Keith, who survives together with one daughter and five sons, Mrs. Jack Burch, Howard, Eddie, E.R. Jasper and Aubrey Lyons, one sister Mrs. Walter Hooper, one brother Charles Lyons, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
