Age 73, died at his home Friday morning, October 6, 1944, in the Bellsburg Community of Dickson County.  He was a native of this county and was a member of the Mt. Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were held at the Mt. Liberty C.P. Church at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon by Rev. M. C. Powers.  The choir sang;  “Unclouded Day”, “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder”, and “What A Friend”. Active pallbearers were Dudley Harvey, Sam Marsh, Georgie Lee Lovell, Herbert Watts, J. D. Lovell, Lester Watts.  Flower girls were Mrs. G. H. Brandon, Mrs. Dudley Harvey, Mrs. Pearl Marsh, Mary Harvey, Sue Hunter and Christine Harvey. Mr. Hunter is survived by two sons, Clayton Hunter of Charlotte, and Lilburn Hunter of Nashville; also three grandchildren, Sue Hunter of Charlotte, J. L. Hunter US Army and Edward Hunter US Navy;  five sisters, Mrs. Nora Harvey of Charlotte, Mrs. Annie Wills of Nashville, Mrs. Lillie Watts of Nashville, Mrs. Minnie Marsh of Kingston Springs and Mrs. Clarence Batson of Charlotte; three brothers, Harper Hunter, Luther Hunter and Albert Hunter, of Charlotte.
