Elsie married James Finley Lindsey (1889-1942) on Dec. 14, 1914. Their children: Mary James Lindsey (1919-1997), and Naomi Lee Lindsey (1923-2001). Elsie Lee Herndon Lindsey was Benton County's first librarian. |
 Hattie Isabelle Herndon (Dec. 19, 1884 - Oct. 21, 1932), was the daughter of James Crews Herndon (1854-1920), and Loura Belle Browning Herndon (1867-1919). She married Lindsey Melton (1880-1954).
