The church and cemetery are located on the northwest side of Boone Lake, near the mouth of Muddy Creek, in Sullivan County, Tennessee. There are many graves with plain stone markers and many unmarked graves. The census of graves was made by Charles M. Bennett July 1958. Annotated by S. Kathryn Bowling McKown.   2. John Spurgeon (died 1805 and one of the first settlers here, and Joseph Spurgeon, his brother, are buried in this cemetery but not listed.
