WEBB, Nathan Henry, physician and merchant; born in Gibson Co., Tenn., Nov. 3, 1848; Welsh and Scotch descent; son of Albert J. WEBB; his mother’s maiden name was SANDFORD; father was a farmer; educated in common schools of Gibson Co., Tenn., and Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn., graduating from the latter with degree of M. D. in 1867-8; married C. L. WEBB Jan. 1, 1880; was local President of Farmers’ Educational and Co-Operative Union of America; Democrat; formerly Postmaster Claresville, Tenn.; on Gen. McDOWELL’s staff with rank of Major, C. S. A.; member of the Baptist church; engaged in farming and merchandising and practicing medicine at Clarkesville, Tenn.; P. O. address, Kenton, Tenn., R. F. D.
