LITTLE, William Perry, educator; born Monroe, Tenn., Oct. 26, 1871; German descent; son of V. S. and Julia (Windle) LITTLE; father’s occupation, marble cutter, farmer; paternal grandparents John and Elizabeth (Barker) LITTLE, maternal grandparents R. S. and Amanda (Harris) WINDLE; educated Alpine Institute, Nettle Carrier, Tenn.; in early life was a marble cutter and farmer, later took up educational work and was County Superintendent of Fentress Co. from Jan., 1901, to Jan., 1911; married Paulina PETERS July 9, 1896; has attained thirty-second degree A. A. S. R., Past Master of Blue Lodge F. and A. M. and is now High Priest of Triple Tau Chapter No. 181, R. A. M.; Democrat; has been interested in the mercantile business at Crawford, Tenn., for past five years.
